Animal Rescue Service

Working Towards a Brighter Future

Home: Welcome

Who are we?

Standing Together is a small 501c3 animal rescue that is located in Tonawanda, NY. We primarily rescue Guinea pigs and kittens but are very knowledgeable and want to help rescue as many animals as we can from unwanted or neglectful situations in WNY. We are dedicated to fighting animal cruelty and believe no companion animal should need to be euthanized for lack of a home. As well as caring for and fostering our animals until they are adopted, we are also happy to provide support and guidance if you are having any troubles with your pet. This is to keep all pets in their forever homes and out of the shelter system. We see all of you, our visitors and potential adopters, as our partners. If you are interested in adoption, we are happy to advise how to properly look after your chosen new friend.

Lets Stand Together

Together, we can make a difference!

We opened our shelter after it became apparent that there were many stray and abandoned animals living in the local area. We aim to rescue as many homeless, sick and injured animals as possible. When we take animals into our care, we give them a thorough check-up and provide essential veterinary care if needed. We ensure that all our animals are healthy and have been well looked after by our staff before they can be offered for adoption to a new home. The work of S.T.A.R.S is funded entirely by public donations. Your support is needed if we are to make a lasting difference to animals' lives. If everyone was Standing Together, we could make such a huge impact in the rescue community and for the lives of these animals! Every gift saves lives. Please make a one time gift if you are not able to make a monthly commitment. Your donations are greatly appreciated! Big or small!  Every donation makes a difference!

Donate through Recycling for Rescue!

Cans, bottles & glass (NY deposit only)

We are dedicated to keeping the environment clean. All year long we collect cans, bottles and glass as an effort to raise awareness on recycling but also to help raise funds for daily amenities such as: food for the animals, animal supplies, emergency vet bills, ect. In 2015, over 9.1 million tons of recyclables were generated in the U.S.; of that amount, approximately one third were recycled and the remainder were combusted or landfilled! Don't throw away your recyclables! Help keep our Earth clean while supporting an amazing cause at the same time by collect your recyclables and donating them to us!
